How to Delete Your Account

Overview

Account deletion in myScoop is self-service and available inside the app. You do not need to uninstall the app alone to delete your account — uninstalling only removes local data on your device; your account on our servers remains until you delete it through Settings.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. After confirmation, we remove your user record and associated data from our systems.

Before you delete

Make sure you are signed in to the correct account. Deletion applies immediately to the active session.

If you use myScoop on multiple devices, delete once while signed in — the account is removed globally on our servers.

Export or save any information you want to keep before deleting. We cannot restore deleted accounts or data.

If you subscribed to any paid features in the future, cancel subscriptions through the App Store or Google Play separately; deleting your myScoop account does not automatically cancel store subscriptions.

Accounts signed in with Google or Apple

If you registered with Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple, open the app, go to Settings → Delete account, and confirm. No separate password is required in the app for social login accounts.

Deleting your myScoop account does not delete your Google or Apple account. It only removes your myScoop profile and data from our service.

Accounts registered with email and password

If you created an account with an email address and password, sign in with those credentials, then follow Settings → Delete account → Delete my account.

You must be authenticated to delete the account. If you forgot your password, use the password recovery option on the login screen before attempting deletion.

Local data on your device

Some data stored only on your device — such as cached content, offline downloads, or progress photos saved locally — may remain until you clear app storage or uninstall myScoop.

After account deletion, you may uninstall the app from your device to remove remaining local files.

Processing time

Account deletion is processed immediately when you confirm in the app. You should no longer be able to sign in with the same credentials once deletion completes.

Backup copies in secure systems, if any, are purged according to our retention schedule and are not used for product features after deletion.

Step-by-step in the app (iOS and Android)

1. Install or open the myScoop app on your iPhone or Android device.
2. Sign in with the account you want to delete (email and password, Google, or Apple).
3. From the home screen, tap the Settings icon (gear) in the top area, or open the side menu and choose Settings.
4. Scroll to the bottom of the Settings screen to the Account section.
5. Tap Delete account (Permanently remove your account and all data).
6. On the Delete account screen, read the permanent deletion warning and review the list of data that will be removed.
7. Tap the red Delete my account button to confirm.
8. When deletion succeeds, you are signed out automatically and returned to the login screen. The account and server-side data are permanently deleted.

Data permanently deleted from our servers

• Your profile, display name, goals, and preferences
• Food diary entries, exercise log, and weight history
• Workout programs, sessions, and progress records
• Coach messages, body analysis results, and notifications history
• Push notification registration for this account
• Authentication data linked to your email, Google, or Apple sign-in

Need help or cannot access the app?

If you cannot sign in or complete deletion in the app, email us from the address linked to your account. We will verify ownership and process your deletion request manually.
